History of La Prade
Records indicate that La Prade was owned by the Abbaye de Bouillas - a major Cistercian monastery located north-east of Pauilhac between 1150 and 1828 when it was destroyed. In the early 1700s, La Prade was owned by Pierre Darribeau, a local businessman, consul and councillor to Louis XV. Ownership passed subsequently passed to his son.
